A school that finally found the right words.
THE SCHOOL
Loyola Academy is the largest Jesuit college preparatory school in the United States, educating close to 2,000 students just north of Chicago. Since 1909, the school has combined rigorous academics with a deep commitment to faith, service, and forming young people who are prepared to make a meaningful difference in the world.
At Loyola, education is about far more than achievement. Every student is encouraged to discover their gifts, serve others, and ultimately find their calling.
THE CHALLENGE
Over the years, Loyola's website had grown into what many school websites eventually become: a dumping ground for information. New pages were added, navigation expanded, and the story became harder to find. It was time for a website that reflected who Loyola is, what it stands for, and the values woven throughout a Jesuit education.
The Discovery
The most important idea didn't come from a creative brief. It came from a conversation.
During discovery workshops, Creative Director Kris Jeary asked questions the Loyola team had never been asked before. Those conversations uncovered something the school had always believed but had never articulated quite so clearly: Find Your Calling.
It wasn't a new message. It was Loyola's story, finally given a name. From that moment on, every design decision, every page, and every piece of content was built around a single purpose: helping prospective families understand what it truly means to find your calling at Loyola.
The story was always there. The right conversation revealed it.
We're in it together.
Fractional Marketing
Building a new website was a significant commitment for Loyola's small marketing team. As the project progressed, Ubiq's Fractional Chief Marketing Officer, Katie DaRin, joined the team to provide additional strategic support during the final stages. Working alongside the school, she helped refine priorities, strengthen content, and ensure the vision established during discovery carried through to launch.
Looking back, Loyola reflected that they only wished she'd been involved even earlier.
For schools with lean internal teams, fractional marketing provides experienced strategic leadership exactly when it's needed most; giving schools the confidence, capacity, and expertise to deliver ambitious projects without expanding their permanent team.

THE THINKING BEHIND THE EXPERIENCE
Homepage
A cinematic hero film introduces prospective families to the breadth of a Loyola education, from science and the arts to athletics, leadership, and service. The journey then transitions into an immersive horizontal storytelling experience, inviting visitors to explore what finding their calling could look like for them.
Picture Yourself Here
Every Rambler has a story. This interactive gallery invites visitors to step into the experience through a customisable silhouette, encouraging prospective students to quite literally picture themselves at Loyola. As they explore, moments of faith, leadership, learning, and service reveal how the school's values are lived every day.
Student Stories
The strongest stories come from the people living them. Throughout the experience, authentic student voices replace marketing copy, sharing personal reflections on life at Loyola. These first-hand stories bring the school's Jesuit values to life through real experiences rather than simply describing them.
The Launch Testimonial
The strongest digital experiences are built on understanding. From discovery through launch, every decision was rooted in Loyola's story.
"Building this new website was a significant commitment for our team, but Ubiq's strategic vision and the questions they asked helped us create the website we needed—one that truly reflects who we are."
